How to invoke
Section titled “How to invoke”/t1k:marketing:iaa:ad-format-strategyAd Format Strategy
Section titled “Ad Format Strategy”Ad Format Strategy helps monetization PMs and UA leads design the right mix of rewarded video, interstitials, banners, offerwalls, and MRECs for a given game genre. Different genres tolerate different ad formats — hyper-casual titles thrive on interstitials while mid-core RPGs may suppress them entirely in favor of rewarded placements. This skill provides a decision framework for picking the format mix, setting baseline targets, and avoiding placements that damage retention.
When to Use
Section titled “When to Use”- Scoping the initial ad monetization strategy for a new game genre (e.g., deciding whether offerwalls fit a word puzzle)
- Evaluating whether to add a new format (e.g., MREC or native) to an existing game’s ad stack
- Diagnosing format-level revenue drops after a genre or audience shift
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”This skill resolves the “which ad format fits our game?” decision before any SDK integration begins. It is used by monetization leads and UA strategists, not engineers. It supports decisions about format inclusion, exclusion, and relative weighting across a game’s lifecycle. It does NOT cover specific network configuration, eCPM floors, or mediation SDK setup — those belong to mediation-waterfall-strategy and the sibling monetization module.
Status
Section titled “Status”Stub — deepen iteratively via /t1k:sync-back as real usage drives priority. Priority sources for when deepening: brainstorm genre-format matrix, eCPM-by-format benchmark table.
